Tunnel/Jacobs: Children's Literature Briefly (Chapter 14)
This chapter was about information books. It was very informational! Actually, Tunnel and Jacobs provided many categories for information books that I was not familiar with. I especially liked the topic about incredible comparisons that included a book referral for Russell Ash (1996). In this information book, Russell Ash compiled data for 23 separate category types. Some of the topics included the universe, disasters, the human body, animal speed, big buildings, and etc. It is noted that one of his comparisons has a line that includes all the tallest structures in the world in order of height. I plan to find this book during Spring Break. It seems like a very fascinating book!
