Pennypacker: Stuart's Cape

I did not like this book. I grew up reading comic books about superheroes that wore capes, and Stuart just did not measure up. In this case, I did not identify with the character at all. I believe that readers need to be able to connect to the key character(s) to become interested in the storyline. Stuart likes toast. I like toast too, but not to the extreme that I would want to plant it. Perhaps, someone who truly loves toast could relate to this idea. Although, I have to give credit to the author for the creative thought process. It took a great deal of imagination to write this book.

I did not like this book either! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I finished it and I was like, "Um,OK?" I am a big fan of Pennypacker, so maybe my expectations were too high. I was dissapointed.
